Can I Turn In My Absentee/Mail-In Ballot at Any Polling Location?

To submit your Absentee/Mail-In Ballot in person, you must personally take it to the Dallas County Elections Department at  1520 Round Table Dr, Dallas,Texas 75247. 


What if I Change My Mind About Voting By Mail ? 

Do NOT discard your mail-in ballot. Take it with you to the polling location to be canceled so you can vote in person.


What if I Didn't Get Around to Mailing My Ballot?

If it's too late to mail it, you can either personally take it to the Dallas County Elections Department (1520 Round Table Dr, Dallas,Texas), Fedex/UPS it in time to arrive on or before Tue Nov 3rd, or take your unsubmitted ballot with you to be canceled so you can vote in person on Election Day. 


Can I Register to Vote?  

Yes, if you are:

  •  A citizen of the United States,
  • A resident of the county, and
  • 17 years 10 months old (to vote you must be 18 years old on Election Day).
  • You must not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law.
  • If you have been convicted of a felony, you may register to vote only after you have completed the punishment phase of your conviction, including any terms of incarceration, parole, supervision, or period of probation ordered by the court.
  • For the Nov 3, 2020 Election, the deadline to register is OCT 5, 2020.

Can I Vote by Mail in Texas?

 You may if you are: 

  • 65 years or older
  • Sick or disabled
  • Out of the county during early voting and election day 
  • In jail but otherwise eligible to vote
